Import Restrictions

Senders should determine import restrictions from the country's authorities before posting:

  • clothing, used
  • drugs and medicines
  • fruit
  • plants or parts of plants.

Importers wishing to import plants, plant parts, plant products, seeds or other regulated items into Anguilla must complete an application for an import permit from the Agricultural Department. All agricultural produce imported must be accompanied by a Phytosanitary Certificate. The permit must state:

  • Country of Origin
  • Name of produce
  • Quantity
  • Weight
  • Mode of transport
  • Expected arrival date

Prohibited Items

In addition to items considered non-mailable matter, the following are prohibited:

  • liquids
  • log and timber products from Liberia
  • paints
  • powder
  • seeds
  • soils.

Documentation Required

The following documents are required:

1. Bill of Lading/Airway Bill

2. Simplified Declaration

3. Commercial Invoice

4. Certificate of Origin.

In addition, British-made goods should include a Certificate of Origin to receive possible preferential tariffs.
