Import Restrictions

Senders should determine import restrictions from the country's authorities before posting:

Prohibited Items

In addition to items considered non-mailable matter, the following are prohibited:

  • currency, forged or counterfeit
  • gold and silver items bearing imitations of British hallmarks
  • liquids
  • log and timber products from Liberia (wood-chips, poles, post, fence pickets, sheets, flooring, molding, pallet, tool handles, barrels, crates, tableware/kitchenware, shutters, blinds, cases/boxes/chests for jewelry and silverware, clothes hangers, clothespins, toothpicks, etc.)
  • lottery tickets and advertising
  • shaving brushes from Japan.

1. Simplified Declaration

2. Commercial Invoice

Customs Procedures:

Imports by mail which are worth less than EC $20 or less, may be exempt from duties. This exemption does not apply to alcohol or tobacco. Where the Single Administrative Document (SAD) is not required, duties and taxes may still be applicable. Where a customs declaration is required, you must complete the SAD.

Grenada Customs & Excise will deliver any commercial postal shipments worth less than EC$1500. The Postal Corporation collects and remits any duties owing to the Grenada Customs on behalf of the addressee.
