Import Restrictions

Senders should determine import restrictions from country's authorities before posting:

• animal and animal products
• carpets
• coins
• computers
• films
• foodstuffs
• hides, skins, wools
• jewelry
• mineral oils
• narcotics
• pearls and precious stones
• pharmaceutical products
• plants and plant products
• publications and books
• rubber articles
• television sets
• tobacco
• toys
• war materials
• weapons and parts thereof.

An import permit is required for many goods. Before posting any item, senders should confirm that the addressee has any necessary permit.

Prohibited Items

In addition to items considered non-mailable matter, the following are prohibited:

• advertising
• credit card blanks
• drugs, non-prescription
• footwear
• electrical machinery
• knives (except cutlery)
• liquor
• lottery tickets and advertising
• preparations of cereal
• pharmaceutical products
• soil
